Meet the Team
Courtney Brooks, DMD
Dr. Courtney Brooks is Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry. She was raised in San Jose, California and received her collegiate education at UCLA where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Brooks completed a two year Pediatric Dental Residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio as a specialist in pediatric dentistry.
Since completing her training, Dr. Brooks has been practicing in the Phoenix area. Dr. Brooks was privileged to be one of the pediatric dentists that represented the US in a recent trip to consult with their professional counterparts in China.
Dr. Brooks gives back to the community as an active member of the Junior League of Phoenix. Her "free" time is spent with her husband Howard, new daughter and their dogs, Zoe and Violet.
Dr. Brooks is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Karan Nett, DDS
Dr. Karan Nett is also a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. She was born and raised in Modesto, California. She received her collegiate education at the University of California at San Diego and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Animal Physiology/Neuroscience with a minor in Psychology.
Dr. Nett received her dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry and became a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a national honors society. Dr. Nett completed a general practice residency at the Veteran's Medical Center in Southern California. Dr. Nett's Pediatric Residency specialty training was at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego, California.
Dr. Nett and her husband, Dr. Brian Nett, a local orthodontist, have a son, Jackson, a daughter Emerson and a golden retriever named Cooper.
Dr. Nett is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Ryann Lyons - Practice Administrator
Ryann Lyons is an Arizona native that proudly joined Dr. Brooks and Dr. Nett in January 2008 to assist them in opening Happy Valley Pediatric Dentistry. Ryann performs all aspects of practice administration from explaining and scheduling treatment with patients to managing finance and insurance matters. Having more than seven years of experience in the dental field, Ryann is extremely knowledgeable about pediatric dental care and can ensure families who make Happy Valley Pediatric Dentistry their dental home are comfortable and receive the best care possible. As a Mom herself, Ryann strives to help make Happy Valley Pediatric Dentistry the quality practice her children enjoy visiting. When away from the office, Ryann enjoys spending time with family, friends and her two dogs.
